Brief Description:  Wheel Fairings

Removed the fairings after the epoxy-flox mixture at the outside screw had cured. Even though the 2 screws were heavily covered in Beo Lube prior to applying the epoxy, the screws became bound by the cured epoxy. To remove them, I had to purchase a larger #3 phillips screwdriver and needed to break them free by using a pair of vice-grips to grab the outside of the screw head in order to break them free so they could be removed with the screw driver.

Installed nut plates to the fairing brackets on both wheels and to the rear fairings at the mating flanges where the front fairings connect. Drilled and counter sunk all of the mounting holes in the fairings for the mounting screws.

Applied epoxy to the top hole in both front and back halves of the fairings where I mistakenly drilled a #40 hole and clecoed the fairings together. This should plug the holes resulting in the 7 screws the plans call for to join the fairing halves.
