Brief Description:  Wheel Fairings

Aligned/fitted the right main gear fairing. Prepared for drilling the mounting screws the same as yesterday, but still had trouble seeing the marks for the holes on the rear mounting flange. Removed the fairing and bent the mounting flange out slightly and increased the shim thickness so that it was more firmly up against the fairing and so more easily seen.

Applied 2 layers of fiberglass on the inside of each fairing at the mounting holes for reinforcement. Used a rectangular fiberglass strip over the 2 close holes in the rear fairings, and a square strip (3x3") over each of the more widely spaced holes in the front fairings.

Enlarged the holes in the aluminum mounting flanges U-1010 slightly from the #40 to 7/64" (don't have a #36 bit) and tapped each hole for a 6-32 screw.

Began fitting the 2 halves of the nose gear fairing together while waiting for the main gear fairing fiberglass work to cure.
