Brief Description:  Molex Connectors Installation

Drilled out and replaced a nut plate on the right elevator due to a screw head stripping out when removing the trim tab actuator cable nut hatch last week while wiring the trim tab. Tried to remove the screw using a screw extractor tool, but was not successful. So drilled out the nut plate holdng the damaged screw and replaced it. Was able to set one of the nut plate rivets with a squeezer, but had to drive the other rivet with a bucking bar held inside the plate opening.

Installed Molex micro connector on the flap position sensor. Then cut a 3 conductor 24 awg cable and installed the mating connector to one end. Labeled the cable and pulled it into the conduit running forward to the panel, and coiled it for future connection to the G3X avionics.

Installed Molex micro connector to the FT-60 Red Cube fuel flow transmitter. Installed a mating connector onto a 3 conductor 24 awg shielded cable for future connection to the G3X system and coiled the cable with the flow transmitter.

Installed the Molex mini connector provided with the AeroLED tail light onto the light's wires, and installed the mating connector onto the wires pulled through the tail cone that will connect to the light. Was able to use the Molex crimping tool purchased for the micro 3.0 connectors to crimp these mini connector pins to the wires.

Installed the Molex mini connector provided to one of the AeroLED navigation/strobe lights. Will install the mating connector to the wiring installed in the wing later this week.
