Brief Description:  Installed Molex Connectors to Trim Servos

Installed Molex Micro-Fit 3.0 connectors on aileron trim servo, with corresponding connector on the wiring previously installed in the right wing to connect to the trim servo. Used 6 pin connectors for the 5 servo wires plus one pin for the shield ground.

Installed the same Molex Micro-Fit connectors on the elevator trim servo. This required removing the trim servo as the wires were too short to strip and crimp in place. This required removing the trim cables attached to the trim tabs, so I removed the trim tabs as well and set them aside. Since I will need to remove the horizontal stabilizer and elevators to move the plane to the airport once it is mostly finished, I left the elevator trim tabs off and only partially tightened the servo bracket screws. I put the elevator trim tab hardware into a small plastic container, marked it with it's contents, and put it on the storage self so I can find it in the future.

Working with these very small wires (24 AWG I think) was difficult, even with the special Molex crimping tool for the Micro-Fit pins. I had to throw away a few pins initially that didn't crimp right. I also installed the pins backwards in the connector shell for the elevator trim servo, which meant I had to remove the servo again to correct my mistake. Working with these connectors was a slow process.
