Brief Description:  Install A/C Condenser

Installed the new 90 deg. fittings onto the condenser in the scoop. Measured the fittings in relation to the scoop mount holes, and created a poster board template of the locations required for the holes into the fuselage.

Mounted the poster board to the underside if the fuselage with clecos, then center punched the 2 hole locations. Drill the holes with #40 bit and confirmed the locations from inside the fuselage. Proceeded to enlarge the holes from inside the fuselage with larger drill bits and then step drill to fit the fittings allowing them to pass through the fuselage.

Test mounted the condenser scoop to the underside using clecos in the rivnuts to confirm fittings fit right in the new holes. Temporarily installed the hose 90 deg. fittings hand tight to the condenser fittings to check everything fits correctly.

Removed the evaporator housing and replaced it with the new correct housing provided by Bill. Once complete, realized that I still don't have the mounting brackets for the condenser, so could not complete the condenser to shelf mounting.

Checked hose connection arrangement at firewall inside bulkhead. Found that a 90 deg. fitting will work better than the provided 45 deg. fitting, so will request a swap out of these fittings.
