Brief Description:  FT-60 Connection; Aileron Control Linkages

Installed the FT-60 using a Van's FUEL-0003 short tube. Required relocating the mounting bracket and slightly repositioning/rotating the fuel pump and filter already installed. Drilled new rivet holes for the repositioned bracket. Will close the old holes with rivets and rivet the bracket with the new holes when I have a helper to drive the rivets while I buck them.

Fabricated a fuel line to connect from the FT-60 to the firewall fiting.

Began installing the control linkages in the wings for the ailerons. Installed the torque tubes into the wing spars. The plans called out the use of AN364-428 nuts to secure the ends to the bearings, however the kit did not include these short nuts. Checked with Van's builder support and was informed that this was a typo, and the use of AN365-428 nuts was the correct hardware.

Installed the W-1017 push rod into the right wing and set it up for proper length using the W-730 jig.

Installed the aileron on the right wing and found that the nose of the ailerons are rubbing on the rivet heads of the reinforced inboard bracket that is part of the SB 16-03-28 which was installed by Van's before my quick build shipped. I will need to contact Van's builder support on this before proceeding.
