Brief Description:  Riveted Right Wing

Based on experience yesterday, we modified the riveting order. With the right wing in the cradle, we started riveting at the flap bracket in the middle of the skin, riveting down the rib from the trailing edge toward the leading edge. Having completed this rib, used a string to roll back the skin for better access inside. Then worked along the top (rear spar), middle (J-stiffener), then bottom (main spar) towards the inboard end of the wing. Rolled back at about the half way point of each section, usng clecos to hold the rest of the section flat, and reaching into the section through the opening provided by the rolled back skin, riveted the top, middle, and bottom rows. Then released string tension rolling another ~12 inches down, clecoed this section, and riveted again. Upon reaching each rib, riveted it into place, and then proceeded in the same way with then next section.

Upon completing all rivets toward the inboard portion of the wing, mating up with the section already in place on the QB wing, we started back at the rib first riveted and rolled the outboard skin section back tying it with string, and riveted in the outboard direction in the same manner as the inboard section.

Note that we had to used a swivel head on the rivet gun (with the rubber surround that I sanded back out of the way), in order to drive the rivets that are tight against the flap bracket.

Also, had to drill out about a half dozen rivets during the effort when an rivet wasn't set fully flush.

Wore a long sleeve shirt today, which helped protect my arms from cuts when reaching through lightening holes with the bucking bar. Leaving the wing in the cradle and rolling the skin for the entire job made today's work with the right wing easier than yesterday's left wing closure.
