Brief Description:  Frame spacers fabricated, frame fitted, painting

Next step in the canopy chapter was to make up 8 of each spacers to align and fit the frame. The first lot were cut from wood and planed down to 7/8". The second lot were problematic and were first cut from the acrylic canopy trimmings but several were slightly curved and I couldn't get a consistent thickness of 1/8'.

The second lot were cut from a length of 10mm wood strip which eventually hielded accurate spacers but proved too soft when fitting the frame so I had to make a last batch of mixed - som of the harder wooden spacers and the balance cut and filed from AA6 angle stock leftover from the failed seat back assemblies.

The resultant spacers were used to align the canopy frame which was fitted then the bubble placed on top to verify trimming and the canopy sides were clamped in place and marked for cut.

Also got a proper look at the newly aquired avionics components and started reading and researching installation and proper mounting of these very specific items.
