Brief Description:  Finalized all the deck fittings and installations,

Today I finalized the deck by final installing all the fittings and installations I had previously elected to leae out for a while. For one thing I realized I needed many of these to be installed first before I could properly install the canopy and also because most of my reasons for holding didn't warrant me putting the work on hold and could go in now.

First was to finalize the hinges, this is actually part of the canopy work but I chiose to fit these earlier in the deck work. Today I final installed and safetied all the bolts on the left hand hinge and then final installed the previously dry fitted right hand hinge assembly, again installing the final bolts and safetying them accordingly. I then went to work on the canopy release mechanism with the goal of final installing the entire system with all it's components and making sure it worked, however we discovered I had made one or two mistakes again including most sritically the lengths of the two arms in the mechanism as well as the pins too were short.

We looked at our options and what materials and or parts we need to finalize the release system and I made up the C-621 arm (the shorter of the two in the design) from the original longer part, we have no more material to fabricate the longer C-622 arm but I mocked one up from scrap ally tubing and the mechanism was tested, I made several adjustments including the position of the bellcrank arm on the shaft which was marked for final drilling later, as well as open op all the gaps and holes in the structures to allow better range of travel for the components of the mechanism.

Once the mechanism was working perfectly and we had determined what parts and materials were needed with suppliers in mind I went on to the finishing the last of the deck fittings which wer the two vents. I had previously installed and finalized these but the right hand vent in place left a nasty gap between the vent unti and the panel. We had discussed making up that gap by welding material to the panel but having taken the ven
