Brief Description:  Front upper deck riveting and fitting fabrication

With the finalization of the brakes still on hold I continued work on the upper deck, my thinking being that when the brakes are ready I just drop it in place and install it once and for all. I cleco'd the first parts together starting from the left hand side and started riveting with the gun and squeezer where I could reach. There were many rivets and some really hard to reach, in some cases I had to improvise a bucking bar. with the left side completely riveted I began fabrication of the curved angle part, this one for the left and later another for the right. This involved measuring and cutting 25 'notches' in the angle, all in the right place and of varying size. A very ardous and time consuming task which was made easier by my creating a 'spindle' machine using an upside down Dremel mounted to a flat board and clamped to the workbench, this worked brilliantly and made quick, accurate work of what otherwise would have been 50 notches individually cut by hand in the angle!
