Brief Description:  Canopy frame, fitted, trimmed, and assembled

Today was a long day and got to finally nail the fitting of this canopy frame which I have so long dreaded. Having treated an solved the corrosion issues I began fitting, then trimming, bending, clamping, trimming and fitting again to get all the parts clamped in assembly on the fuselage - perfectly matched to the fuselage frame and rollbar in place. The canopy frame (fwd weldment) was again fitted in place on the subpanel assembly at the hinges and adjusted as suggested and as I had it previously, then the frame rails and finally uprights were clamped in place and when a perfectly fitting frame was achieved it was removed and marked for drilling and riveting together.

I had to make up 4 new spacers (wooden blocks) to space the uprights of the frame on the roll bar and with them in place I am happy with the fit of the frame. I test fitted/dry fitted the canopy bubble onto the frame in place on the fuz and saw that it needed some trimming which I did with the grinder, disc and by peeling away the protective plastic and vinyl.
