Brief Description: continued Tip fitment and finalized aileron alignm
Having come in this morning after a day away I found the aileron had dropped slightly from it's previously established neutral position and I spent some time looking upo the best and surest method of getting it to proper neutral and keeping it there and what I came back to was just the manufacturer's method of lining up a plank along the tooling holes on the end rib and then positioning the aileron according to the marked plank. Now this was not considered suitable for my setup given the wiring conduit and other fixtures on the end rib but I devised a similar jig using a length of scrap tubing, drilled at the holes for AN3 bolts but with a clever device (originally to secure broom heads to broom sticks) to grab the aileron safely and in neutral and this would hold it in place and not get in the way of the tip when I fit it.
I made up the part and it works perfectly. Also had to revise the bellcrank neutral jig to match the proper neutral position which I am now more than 100% sure of having also asked fellow builders to be sure, it is also clearly in line and as per the manual when all tooling holes are aligned it has to be in line and in neutral.
