Spent most of the day on the panel ribs stiffeners to replace the existing ones so that I can fionally fit the shroud and canopy frame in place to drill the hinges.
Having finalised a suitable design I transfered the part drawings to a scrap piece of .063 sheet and cut, shaped, formed, bent, trimmed, fit, trimmed some more until I had perfect parts to which I riveted an attatchment angle/bracket then clamped in place and match drilled the parst to the ribs according to the already drilled out ribs.
I used an epoxy to bond the parts to the ribs so they were left clamped to cure overnight. Had about 2 hours of no electricity which I was not warned about so ended up with no air in the compressor and very little I could do so I jumped ahead on the plans and got stuck into the inevitable gear fairings and spats.
