Brief Description: Finished Wiring Avionics Basy --- Well Almost
I made up the final connector for the avionics bay - the two headset jacks.
From there, I had to power it up and try it out. I only powered up the audio panel for now. It checked out great. I made test bench pigtails to hook up two headsets. My expensive Telex didn't work. It turns out that it was the headset. So it is back to the factory for repair.
I started making up the wire harness for the NavWorx. I could do it, but it would be difficult as the hub-side connectors are molded in rubber and are pretty hard to update. I could run wires from radio to radio, but it circumvents the purpose of the FastStack system. So, I ordered a custom cable from them. $250 and 10 days. I have the parts. But I want pretty.
The next step is to make up the 4 Amp Power connectors, and three DB connectors on the airfame side. Then power the whole system up.
I felt so good about today that I cleaned the shop!
