We were not happy with the quality of the interior paint. Part of the problem was the choice of materials - Jet Flex, and part of the problem was the over-thinning of the material by the paint shop.
We decided to give painting a try.
Charles got new material - Jet Glo this time. We mixed it up and then suited up. I had a full protective suit - hood, goggles, forced flow breather, etc. Using the HVLP gun was pretty simple, but will take some time to get used to. The first couple parts we painted were pretty good, but perhaps a little under-covered. So I turned up the material. That led to some sags in the paint. I think I am narrowing in on the right air/material mixture.
We also had a bit of trouble with dust in the air. Our small paint booth is a negative pressure design which does a great job of capturing overspray, but sucks in any particles in the air.
