I found this piece to be very awkward and assumed it would screw it up the first time.
I decidded that I need to mount the snorkel before making the prop control bracket and bending the front baffle. Time to do it now. It turned out to be very easy to mount.
I took precise measurements on the mouting holes 3.25" square pattern. I made up a drill template from scrap aluminum and checked it. 3 of 4 were perfect. I thin used the three good patterns to transfer this to the snorkel. Then rotated the pattern for the fourth hole. Simple
I did have an interference with an unused starter bracket. Some guys create a hole in the snorke for that. I decided to simply cut off the unused mounting leg.
I anticipated hours and just breezed through this.
