I was concerned that the governor was backwards the way I was going to cable it. The spring seems to fight extension of the prop cable. This didn't seem right.
I asked my friends, Ron Frants at Martin Aviation and Tom Porta about where the governor spring returns. Both confirmed that the spring should take it to high RPM. Great... I was going to hook it up backwards.
I came up with a plan to move the control head from looking at the install instructions (not much help, really, but with Ron's guidance, they made more sense).
Finally, I found a picture of my engine and a good control routing.
