Brief Description:  Ordering Prop

After a lot of research, I ordered the prop

And immediatelyI found out that I didn't know enough

We settled on the most expensive prop for the airplane, the AeroComposites. It has the benefit of being light and reportedly fast. Light is a big deal as it is pretty far forward in the airplane and this airplane tends towards forward center of gravity problems when flown solo. (And the planned pilot is still 80# over the FAA Design Pilot). There are other light weight props, such as the MT, but I really liked the construction techniques of this prop. MT, which has many props flying, looks like a toy and is heavier compared to the ACI prop.

But, I found that there were still 20 questions to be asked. What color? How many blades? What Size? When do we want it? And more I can't remember. For a lot of these, I just had do ask "What do you think?"

We ended up with a 74" (2" bigger than most), but we don't expect to do off-airport work where clearance is an issue. This should give us a little more performance. We went with standard paint (at least for now), Standard Cowl, November Delivery. And another $1000 deposit lighter in the checking account.
