I drilled out a hole to insert the flap hinge pin into both wings. I then moved on to assembling the ailerons to the wings. I figure that these are attached until the plane goes back in for paint, so everything needs to be torqued down. Installing the aileron push rods is a pain - it is hard to get the washers and the final nut started. An aggravation really.
Next step is to check the aileron travel and adjustment. I am a little concerned that there is not enough down travel, but this is well spec'ed.
Good to be back at work, but it was more fun starting to teach son Ian to fly.
Well, not our airplane, but Ian is checking ailerons anyway
