I tried unsuccessfully to paint the black asphault floor to brighten up the hanger. After four coats, I gave up.
I ordered this snap-together floating floor for the hanger with the proceeds from the sale of the T210. It was just a small dent in that budget.
The floor is easier on my feet. It was quite easy to put down. The biggest issue is the hanger is full of stuff - airplane, shelves, work benches, etc, so I was always moving something. I did run out of red tiles. I had designed a 2' safe area around the perimeter for storage. When I got started, I decided I liked 3' better.
The yellow parking stripe is centered in the front of the hanger and matches the taxiway striping. The tail section of the hanger is a little off-center by about 18". I now have extra red, so I may make the safe area wider on that side.
Next step: Organize all that storage that was just dumped when I moved into the hanger..
Then... after 2 1/2 years off, start building again.
