Brief Description:  Riveting Right Rudder

Riveted skin double 713 over to the skin per instructions. I put four rivets in each side (there should have been 2). I had to later drill these out to get the outboard rivet through the rib.

Inserted spar assembly into the skin assembly. The holes in the counterweight were slightly out of position, causing the counterweight to stick outboard to the desired position. I re-drilled the counterweight. I will match the other side with similar holes (there looks like plenty of weight anyway. If I need to at final balance, I will replace the weights with heavier ones)

Riveted the top side of the skin. Some of the rivets near the trailing edge are impossible to rivet. I am deferring them until I get the no-hole yoke.

I almost forgot to put in the ProSeal at the trailing edge of the stiffeners. I had to drill out a rivet to open up the bottom. ProSeal is a mess! I used a scale to weigh out 100 grams of material and 10 grams of activator. I used a dowel as an applicator. It was tight - some ProSeal got on the inside of the skin. I don't see that as a problem.

I left the assembly standing on the trailing edge for the ProSeal to harden.

Final riveting of the bottom deferred until tomorrow
