I searched around yesterday to find this bracket which holds the left side of the avionics stack to the front panel. No luck.
I was going to wait - things turn up. But somewhere in the back of my mind, I wonder if I didn't throw it away when cleaning the shop....
So... Time to build a bracket.
I had forgotten how easy this stuff is. I grabbed a piece of angle, used the other bracket as a pattern and had a new one in 10 minutes or so. I deburred, buffed, reamed, etc.
Kind of soothing.
As I was assembling the system (next post), I realized a couple things: I will take these brackets off again. And I will probalby re-make them. I have a minor interference between the Audio Panel and the SL40.
Now that I have a CNC machine, the next version will be done on that for exact hole placement.
