This involved drilling yet another hole in the landing gear box. The first one had a good routing, but turned out not to be workable. The first 5" of cable must run straight. The box is only 6" fore to aft. This requires both holes be pretty close to co-linear. We had to re-drill the forward side of the landing gear box. The area is quite busy. To assure no interference with the fuel line, we will have to add a stand off clamp between the cable and the fuel line. No biggie, but more foresight YEARS AGO could have avoided that.
We got the cable routed up to the air snorkel. The only tasks left are to
-- Form a circular termination to connect it to the alt air door -- Install firewall penetration fitting -- Do a final operational check and adjustment -- Torque all bolts
