Brief Description: Finding the Alternator Data Plate
I could not find the details on the Plane Power alternator. I had thought that it was a 70A model, but, while that is available, I was told that most likely I had a 60A model. I should look at the data plate.
The trouble with that is the alternator was installed, and torqued, with the belt tensioned. I didn't want to take the time to redo that.
I found a nice little boroscope on Amazon. For $35 I didn't expect much. I got a LOT. While being simple to operate, it provides variable resolution (fast and pixelated or slow, high resolution) and control over the illumination.
I was able to quickly feed the boroscope into the hidden data plate area and capture the picture below.
