I found a number of parts that had not been installed for the baffling.
It took a while to sort out where they went. We seem to have deviated from the plans by putting a bend in the front baffling to get it below the intake. However, that means that the stiffeners need to be bent. I am concerned that the air filter will not fit with the bend. I have to research this.
I tried fitting the cowling to see how the baffles fit. The rear baffle is too high, preventing the upper cowl from fully seating (figure 1).
So.. it looks like Charles didn't start trimming when he stopped last time.
I can reach up through the intake and mark the baffles, then trim. I want to take just enough, then use paperclips to get a uniform 5/8" clearance.
