We decided that with the lighter battery and prop as well as the aft mounted oxygen system, the battery can be mounted on the firewall.
I made the various brackets and attachment hardware for the battery tray. The Odessey battery is a bit smaller so I added a couple of angle peices to the bottom of the tray to orient the battery. I also changed the hold-down from running lengthwise to crosswise to avoid any risk of shorting the battery. These mods could be removed it the standard battery were used.
We decided to switch back to Sherwin Williams primer for any part that will be exposed. I set the battery tray aside for later priming when I have a batch of parts ready.
