I drilled the spacers and used them as a template to drill through the fuselage. Drilling into the HS Spar required climbing way back in the fuselage - a task for someone skinnier and lighter than I. Mike fit the bill. He climbed well back into the fuselage and drilled 4 critical holes.
The hole alignment was not perfect, but was acceptable. We will have to crawl back into the fuselage to torque down the bolts when the time comes. There simply is not enough access to get a socket in from the top. Still, these will be installed only once.
