I had a bit of a setback today. I had prepped the TruTrak servo mouting kit and match drilled the bellcrank parts to those I removed.
I dreaded crawling back in the tail to rivet the bellcrank. I gathered up all the tools and lights I thought I might need and crawled in. I deburred the longerons where I had removed the old bellcrank. When I lined up the new bellcrank, the holes did not match up correctly and the mounts were not parallel. I traced the problem down to the match drilling process. Bottom line, the parts are scrap.
I ordered a couple feet of .125 x 1 x 1 angle to fabricate new parts. This is not a big deal, costing under $10 and probably 2-3 hours.
