I checked the wiring of the strobe system. Power and ground were mis-wired. Good catch. I also found that the switch won't work the way that I want it to. So I disconnected it. The new DP3T switches should arrive mid next week - they will do the job.
I also found that I had hooked the trim wires to the wrong side of the DB25 connector. Simple fix took about 10 minutes, I I don't want to be making errors along the way. Again, good catch.
I moved ahead by wiring the flap position sensor to the VP-X. That is about the only "new" work for the day - and that should have been 15 minutes. I ended up nicking the insulation on the cable assembly when I was stripping away the outer insulation. That led to removing the floors, snipping cable ties and "stretching" the cable. Fortunately, I had plenty of slack back at the flap actuator.
