Brief Description:  Researching & Ordering Tools

I spent what seemed like endless hours researching tools and tool kits from several aviation tool companies. I put together a detailed spreadsheet comparing the tools offered in several kits and the pricing. I narrowed the field down to two companies and called and talked with them in detail about the tools included in their kits, what additional tools builders are typically adding and about their customer service in general. At the end of my tool research efforts I was convinced to go with Avery Tools. They have packaged the tools nicely and are very knowledgeable - read helpful to the new builder. Not to say the other options are not good. Avery just seemed like the best fit for my needs. I will likely add the pneumatic squeezer in the future, but am starting out with the hand squeezer with a 3" yoke. One nice advantage with Avery is their hand squeezer fits the same yokes used on the pneumatic - another reason I chose to go with Avery. I deleted the C frame because I can barrow one from a friend. I also made a few other minor changes to customize the standard kit for my needs. The tools will be here next week and I will be ready to get my shop reorganized and set up to begin building :-)
