Back to the trim tab hinge and installation on the left Elevator. I cut the new hinge to size. As I mentioned before the trim tab had a slight twist so I clamped the trim tab firmly to the bench before match-drilling the hinge to the tab (see image #1). Positioned, match-drilled, deburred and primed the hinge. With the trim tab stilled clamped to the bench I clecoed the hinge onto the trim tab and then squeezed the rivets... when complete the trim tab was almost perfectly straight. Next I carefully positioned the trim tab on the left Elevator and it aligned nicely with the trailing edge this time... woo hoo! Drilled and deburred the hinge, clamped it into position and set the rivets. When completed the trim tab fits and looks great. Next step will be adding the fiberglass tip to the left Elevator.
