Tried to fit the right IB and OB slats. Had a lot of difficulty getting the two halves together. Thanks to HombuiltHELP DVD on Slats & flaps, there is an easier way by cutting a small slot in the trailing edge of the IB slat where the two halves attach. Now the two halves go together nicely.
Started on the left (Pilot) IB slat. Used the same process. Fitted the bottom skin to the ribs, updrilled to A-4, disassembled, deburred, cleaned, primed, reassembled and riveted. Then fitted the top skin, clecoed, updrilled, disassembled, deburred, primed, reassembled and riveted. Left IB now complete.
