Finished fitting end cap. The fiberglass is very thin. Added alum. strip to bottom and top of end cap to allow better riveting. Had to remove the previously installed āLā angle brackets form the spar and back channel. Made larger āLā angles from scrap so that the sides of the angle touched the fiberglass, thus allowing it to be riveted per specs.
Put the main top skin on and riveted it except for the last two rivets on the outboard end. This will allow me to do the finishing work on the end cap.
Did some work on the top fuel skin. Enlarged the fuel fill hole to allow better clearance around the filler hole. Started fabricating a small cover plate would the evenly cover the excessive opening in the top fuel skin. The new piece will be added when the skin is riveted.
