Talked to Jabiru USA tech. staff and asked about the starter. My concern was the #8 lead wire from the starter. The Tech. person indicated that the load would approach 700 amp on the initial start load. They recommended a #4 welding lead wire for the starter.
Took the starter apart and removed the #8 wire and tried to install a #4 welding lead. However, there simply was not sufficient room for that without some sort of special adapter. Talked to Jabiru and ordered a new starter with the lead cable attached.
