Per specs, I enlarged the opening in front of the bottom section of the cowling for the oil cooler. The cowling uses a combination for CamLocs and nut plates to secure the cowling to the fuselage. Started working on installing CamLocs on the left side. The instructions called for three CamLocs on each side. I decided to use 5 CamLocs on each side and drilled the holes for those fitting. Also drilled the holes for the nut plats for attaching the bottom half of the cowling to the fuselage and holes for CamLocs for the top rear of the cowling. Counter sunk rivets are used to secure the nut plats and CamLocs. Also installed a nut plates on the inside of both sides, where the nose of the cowling comes together in front of the prop.
