Brief Description:  Fabricating A New Oil Cooler Mounting Bracket

Today I discovered all my meticulous planning, design and fabrication of the new blister channel mold was slightly off at the firewall end of the channel. With the oil cooler in its origianl position, there are still minor contact points with the new blister channel. Due to the amount of work and materials cost involved in making an adjusted blister channel mold, I am going to try moving the oil cooler slightly aft, by fabricating a new mounting bracket that will mount to the underneath side of the engine intake manifold using the set of 1/4" cap screws that are a couple of inches aft of the ones originally used to mount the oil cooler bracket.

The holes for the 1/4" cap screw bolts that mount the bracket to the intake manifold bottom are 3.6955" center-to-center. The holes for the 3/16" bolts that mount the oil cooler to the bracket are 3.0" center-to-center.
