Brief Description:  Fitting New Blister Channel To Cowling

Using a Dremmel rotary tool equipped with a metal cutoff wheel, I removed the original blister channel. Cutting approximately 1/2" inside the outer trace line left a lip inside the opening that would support the tapered/flattened surface-mounting edge on the bottom side of the new blister channel. This will allow an adhesive to be used to hold the new blister in place while the interior and exterior fiberglass is applied for the final bonding to the cowling.

The tabs for the clecos were cut to allow the cleco holes to be drilled far enough from the edges so as not to damage the edges.
