Brief Description:  Wetsanding And Polishing The Mold Surface

After initial removal from the plug, the mold surface was wet sanded progrssively with 600, 800, 1500, then 2000 grit wet or dry sandpaper.

After wet sanding, the mold surface was polished by hand with the two-step mold polish used previously on the plug.

This polishing produced a high gloss finish ready for applying product gelcoat to. It's important to realize that this final polishing is what determines the final part's gelcoat surface quality. Imperfections here will be transferred to the final part's gelcoat finish with amazing clarity.
