Brief Description: Surface Prep Of New Blister Channel Mold Plug
Due to spherical 3D printing artifacts (ridges over the curvature) that form when printing spherically curverd surfaces, the surface of the plug had to be filled to produce a workably smoothed surface for making the mold.
The initial step was to coat the surface with a layer of regular polyester resin and allow it to basically self-level and cure. The cured surface was sanded to roughly smooth the ridges and produce a more suitable surface for applying mold-making surface primer on.
