Brief Description: Fitting The Lower Cowling Piece
Performed multiple itterations of trimming then checking the fit of the lower cowling piece.
I would mark a trim line with a strip of blue painter's tape, leaving a small amount of fuselage to be trimmed back to the tape line's edge. This provides a nice straight finished line, and also prevent too much material from being removed in one itteration of trimming.
I was unable to completely fit the fuselage due to contact points with the lower engine block cooling fins, and the oil cooler at the rear of the blister channel.
Beginning the multiple itterations of trimming and fitting the lower cowling piece.
Making contact in the blister channel at the lower engine block cooling fins.
Also making contact in the rear blister channel at the oil cooler.
