Brief Description:  Verifying Engine Level and Forward Position

After changing the engine mounting bolts, verified the engine position relative to the longitudinal axis by ensuring the top of the engine block was parrallel with the extended line of the fuselage/cabin floor.

Veried the front face of the propeller hub was perpendicular to the longitudinal axis by checking that it was at a right angle to the extended line of the fuselage/cabin floor. Then checked the forward measurement of the front face of the propeller hub from the reference point on the fuselage as specified in the plans. The furthest forward I could get the engine placed the hub at 40 17/32" forward of the reference point. This was a slight bit short, but there appears to be no further movement forward possible with this mount.

Checked the height to the center of the propeller hub. Height above extended line from the floor of the fuselage cabin was 17 9/16".
