The side vent openings were cut out approximately 1/8" inside of the inner tape line area on the inside of the cowling. Vents were then aligned on the openings to center the vents on the slightly smaller openings, then clecoed in place. This provides a slight bit of overhang from the side openings that will need to be sanded/removed to match the vent openings.
Aligned and then temporarily clecoed the vents in place.
