I decided to remake the MFD tray bottom. The EMS mounting nutplates were oriented such that the flush rivets were too close to the strengthening support bend on the forward edge of the bottom plate. I rotated the nutplates 90 degrees and remade the bottom plate.
Cut and deburred the new MFD bottom plate.
Performed all bending for all PFD pieces to complete the PFD component fabrication. Cleaned off all bending direction markings. Countersunk all rivet holes for all nutplates. Rivetted all nutplates into position. Use 6-32 nutplates for the attachment points from the tray to the intrument panel, and 8-32 nutplates for all avionics components to the tray. Completed final PFD tray assembly by rivetting the two side pieces to the bottom plate.
Installed the backup battery on the left side wall, the pitot heat controller on the left side of the tray bottom, and the ACM on the right side vertical mounting panel.
