Brief Description:  Fabricating An Adjustable ADAHRS Mount

Worked on fabricating an ADAHRS mounting bracket that would be adjustable in both pitch and roll directions to allow the ADAHRS to be set to absolute 0 degrees level per installation specs.

Drew up the general design, then printed it out on card stock to fold it up for preliminary design verofocation.

Once verified it would have the adjustability required, the toolpaths were developed and the part was cut from 6061 T6 aluminum 0.032" sheet stock.

It was necessary to separate the initial piece into two pieces to allow ease of adjustment in the pitch direction.

The two pieces were bent and assembled to test. The piece was assembled with standard ferrous hardware just to verify functionality. Non-ferrous (brass) hardware has been ordered and will be used once it arrives. Brass hardware is required to prevent causing magnetic interference for the ADAHRS.
