Brief Description: Fabricating Mounting Brackets For The ELT
Repeated the fabricating process for producing the forward mounting bracket.
Determined the location on the forward and aft mounting brackets where rivet relief holes had to be cut to allow the brackets to be secured flat down ont the upper longeron rails at the end of the tail cone.
Placed and drilled holes in end of brackets for mounting to the rails.
Layed out and drilled the mounting tray screw holes in the proper position on the forward mounting bracket.
Deburred, polished the edges, and buffed out all vice jaw marks and stress points from both brackets.
Fit both brackets into position, then bolted on the ELT mounting bracket to lock the bracket position. Completed the mounting assembly with tie-down bands, and installed it in the tail cone under the vertical stabilizer.
Mounted the ELT in the mounting tray.
Placing Relief holes in bracket for rivets and drilling bolt holes.
Finashed tail cone ELT mounting tray assembly.
ELT securely mounted under the vertical stabilizer.
