Determined the best final position for the gascolator. Positioning was critical and very tight on tolerance to avoid contact with any part of the engine mount cross-member bars. Vibrations could cause gascolator/bracket contact with a bar to cause severe damage to the engine mount structure.
Drilled, deburred (bracket and firewall holes) and mounted the gascolator mounting bracket, then inserted the top portion of the gascolator. Installed (dry) the inlet and outlet hose fittings on the gascolator top portion. Installed the gascolator bowl and mounting collar. Installed all 4 mounting allen head bolts to secure the bowl in position. Installed (dry) the drain valve in the bottom of the gascolator bowl.
Built the gascolator inlet fuel line to go from the firewall fuel bulkhead fitting to the gascolator inlet fitting.
Completed the gascolator mounting, and dry fit the hose from the firewall fuel bulkhead fitting to the gascolator inlet fitting.
Positioning gascolator mounting bracket such that there is no contact with any engine mount structure.
Gascolator assembly installed into the mounting bracket, fittings added and inlet hose installed.
Final position is good, with no contact with any part of the engine mount.
