Brief Description: Trimmed Canopy Forward Edge To Windshield
Masked a tape line to trim forward canopy edge back to. Ground and sanded canopy forward edge to the edge of the tape.
Repeated fitting cycle. Continued fitting/trimming front canopy edge until satisfied. Due to uneven adjustment being required across the curvature of the canopy to windshield fit, a little too much was removed from the canopy edge, and resulted in slightly more than the 1/16" gap at the windshield trim starting at the canopy longeron/hinge forward edge. There is still plenty enough overlap on the windshield skirt trim, but there's a larger than normal gap between the canopy edge and the windshield assembly trim. Less than perfect, but acceptable and satisfactory.
Using a high grit flap wheel to trim the acrylic canopy back to the tape line.
Fine finish sanding the acrylic canopy leading edge.
Pilot side fit of the canopy leading edge to the windshield skirt.
