Brief Description:  Fabricating And Mounting Rudder Cable Fairings

Made SNB-C01-04 cable fairings from SNB-C01-01 fairing blanks. Cut fairings from the blanks, then sanded and shaped them per the specs.

Aligned on side skin at the cables and temporarily marked for screw pattern.

Marked screw pattern on the fairings, then drilled 5/64" pilot holes to be transferred to the side skins. Temprairily positioned each fairing then drilled 5/64" holes into skins. I then enlarged the two bottom holes on the right side fairing to 3/32" because they went through the longeron, and it needed to be a larger hole for the AN530-4-6 sheet metal screws to bite enough to hold but not break off in the longeron.

Enlarged the holes in the fairings to allow a free-fit of the AN530-4-6 machine screw.

Mounted both fairings.
