Did preliminary checks dropping the instrument panel overlay 2" below the stock panel bottom cross brace. Had to determine clearance arc for the control stick grip to pass through and under the panel carbon fiber overlay. Will further determine side extent of the arc once the left-right travel of the stick can be determined with the wings/ailerons installed and rigged.
Cockpit still has acceptable leg clearance getting into the seats, but brake handle will need shortened to clear the dropped panel.
The 2" drop is needed for switches and breakers/fuses.
Card stock preliminary mock-up to check fit and leg room.
