Brief Description:  Fabricating The Final Leg Fairings.

The first majhor part of today was spent on another iteration of the same I've been doing... fine-tuning the upper curve for a better flush fit to the fuselage bottom with a thinner and cheaper test fairing on the right main gear leg. No photos as it's more of the same that has already been shown.

Once I was happy with the the test fit, I began fabricating both final leg fairings from the 6061 T6 0.025" aluminum sheet stock.Finals went together very nicely, but I did have a few rivets that broke off proud of the dome, so I spent the time drilling them out and replacing them.

The fairings were pre-bent to go on the legs so the hinge halves would mate up as easily as possible.
